Background
Vaughan Engineering is a leading mechanical and electrical building services engineering contractor operating throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The Problem
The previous website was outdated, it needed a fresh update with an emphasis on careers and telling the story of Vaughan Group, currently celebrating over 60 years in business.
The Vaughan Group has worked on some of the biggest engineering projects in Ireland and the UK but this was not being promoted on their site. The site did not accurately reflect the skills and expertise of one of the biggest employers in Northern Ireland.
what we did
We began with extensive research of key competitors in the same sector. We noticed that many of these websites where not too exciting so we began designing concepts that would stand out from the competition. Each element was designed from scratch, we wanted to create a bold website that would be visual appealing to the user.
Full interactive prototypes were created using Adobe XD which we used for receiving feedback from our clients. We also redesigned the Vaughan Group landing page that would act as a launch pad to Vaughan’s other businesses. This brought all the businesses under one umbrella.

A fully custom built CMS was created using WordPress which included a careers section which allows for posting of new jobs with details and application form. The site is fully responsive with multiple interactive elements that where all created in-house by our developers.
News, services, projects and client sections where all developed for the Vaughan Services website.
This was one of our first sites using the new WordPress block editor, Gutenberg. This posed some issues as the documentation was lacking but we developed some custom Gutenberg blocks to allow easy editing for the client.
