Background
Mournelive is a popular online news and information platform serving the local communities around the Mournes in Northern Ireland.
This site is part of four sister sites that we were to re-build as part of a large WordPress multisite web design project.
The Problem
Mournelive needed a modern, responsive and user-friendly website that would provide a seamless user experience for their readers. They wanted a platform that would not only be aesthetically pleasing but also efficient in delivering timely and relevant content to their audience.
Their previous site delivered none of these features. Coupled with the fact that the previous site was built using an in-house CMS, made the management of the site a difficult task.
what we did
We conducted a thorough analysis of Mournelive’s existing website to identify the key areas of improvement. We then created a new website using the WordPress platform which tied in with the three other websites we were building, which incorporated the latest design trends and technologies to deliver an engaging and seamless user experience. We focused on optimizing the website’s performance to ensure fast load times, responsive web design, and easy navigation for users on any device.
We also integrated various custom features, including map integration, accessibility improvements and hundreds of others but most importantly – a user-friendly content management system (WordPress) that would allow the Mournelive team to easily manage and update their content.

The new Mournelive website has been well-received by their audience and has led to a significant increase in engagement, with visitors spending more time on the site and exploring more content. The new design has also improved the website’s search engine ranking, resulting in increased traffic and a higher number of organic search visits. Overall, the new Mournelive website has exceeded their expectations and provided them with a powerful platform to connect with their audience effectively.
