Wibble and the Coronavirus

Blog post from Wibble’s Managing Director, Paudie Fearon.

As you must be aware, COVID-19 has effected probably everyone on the planet and the people at Wibble are no different. I wanted to post an update on what we are doing to keep our Wibblers safe and continue to deliver projects for our amazing clients.

On Friday 13th March, I made the decision to close our studio in central Belfast – I thought it was the right thing to do and I still believe this to be the case. This decision was for the safety of our staff and clients.

Below is a summary of the changes we have put in place:

Remote working

Since Friday 13, the entire Wibble team have been working remotely. We are very lucky to be able to do this – my heart goes out to other businesses that aren’t in such a fortuitous position. Every one of our systems is remote with no physical infrastructure in our studio, so working remotely only requires some configuration changes to give us access. We were up and running remotely within an hour.

Updated: Suspending phone support

** Update: Phone support is back up and running. You can also contact Wibble through [email protected] **

We are, unfortunately, suspending phone support for the foreseeable future. We are working on a plan to bring this back but this may be a number of weeks before it is up and running. The recommended way to contact Wibble’s team of support experts is to email us at [email protected].

Cancelling meetings

I have made the decision to stop all face to face meetings to protect both our clients and our staff. Through a combination of Skype, Zoom, phone calls and emails, we can carry on providing our usual high standard of support.

Projects

Whilst closing our studio will not affect our ability to deliver any current projects to their agreed timelines, the current situation is an evolving one and the health and wellbeing of our staff is a priority. If you have any concerns regarding your project please contact us.

Thank you

I’d like to thank all our clients for their ongoing support during this time of uncertainty.

Further thanks must go to the staff of Wibble for their huge efforts to continue providing the help and support that our clients need in these trying times.

Finally, please follow the guidelines – socially distance yourself and protect yourself and everyone around you.

**Further update: a post on running our web design and development business through the pandemic has been added to our web blog. It was written by Paudie Fearon and is below
